Fantastic villa in Agde!

We stayed in this lovely villa for a week. The owners of the villa had thought of everything for a very relaxing holiday! The villa was spotless and very well equipped, all of the home comforts that you needed had been carefully thought about. Thank you! Our three boys loved the heated swimming pool and all the inflatables! The villa was perfectly situated only a short walk along the beautiful river to the restaurants, shops in the historic town of Agde. Or a short drive to the sandy beach at Grau d'Agde. The villa is very conveniently placed for visiting other places of interest around Agde. During our stay we went to Carcassonne, Sete, Circus de Navacelles, Pezenas, Marseillan. There are plenty of large supermarkets and petrol stations just a few minutes drive from the villa. We will definitely recommend this villa to family and friends and hope to return ourselves again one day!

Fantastic base for our family holiday

We loved the villa, particularly the pool and shaded terrace where we ate our meals. It's well appointed and maintained and the owners managed the booking very efficiently. The villa is in a great location, in a quiet residential area on the edge of Agde, a short drive away from the sandy uncrowded and child friendly beaches of Grau d'Agde and a walk away along the canal to the restaurants and cafes of historic Agde. We did day trips to Nimes, Pont du Gard and Carcasonne and our boys loved crazy golf at Cap d'Agde and go-karting at the nearby track. The perfect base for a fun and relaxing family holiday!

A lovely home in a beautiful part of France

I stayed in the house with a friend. It was very comfortable with plenty of room for us or a bigger family. Everything we needed was provided and helpful information had been left by the owners. Sky TV is available. The temperature was extremely hot but my bedroom had the benefit of an effective fan and my friend's room was air-conditioned. The pool was excellent - spacious enough for a decent swim and well maintained. The location is ideal for either a stroll along the river to the town or a trip to the beach going the other way. We had hired a car to do some sight-seeing but this is not really necessary if you like to walk. Agde itself is friendly town not far from the airport. We enjoyed visiting the local art galleries and took a leisurely boat trip along the canal. There are two large hypermarkets in the vicinity for all your shopping needs. We will definitely stay there again and next time for a little longer!

Fantastic Value!

Just returned from a 4 week stay. This property was as advertised and more! The owners have gone for quality, very comfortable furnishings both inside and outside the house, hey have supplied just about everything you need from washing machine, to ironing board, dish washer, etc., They even supplied the cold blocks for use in cool bags (you need your own cool bag though). My husband was ecstatic that there was a wide screen tv with Sky and English channels, brilliant on evenings when we stayed in. The pool was very well maintained, the pool man came every week, the gardener the week before we arrived and again whilst we were there, the same with cleaning, it was cleaned before we arrived,, whilst we were there and again on departure. All bedding, towels and tea towels were provided included in the charge. The locals were friendly, and it was just a 15-20 minute walk along the river into town. There is a market twice a week in the town, very good prices. Plenty of bars and restaurants both in the town and a short drive away at Cap d'Agde. Although there is air conditioning in the main bedroom, it was exceptionally hot in the other bedrooms even with the fans on (that is the only negative, and it might have been due to the heat wave). I would certainly recommend this villa and hope to stay there again.

Exactly as Described!

The villa is well situated on a quiet road but it is also within walking distance of the river and the town of Agde. The Hyper U is a convenient 5 mins away by car and had everything we needed for the week. It was great to have Wi-Fi and the pool for our 19 and 17 year olds. We looked at several beaches but preferred the one at Rochelongue and also enjoyed eating at the restaurants there. It was very hot (30 degrees plus) while we were there but the villa is well supplied with fans and air-conditioning units. We had all our meals at the outdoor dining table which is in the shade for most of the day. If you like sight-seeing, we can recommend Nimes, Narbonne and Carcassone. We would definitely stay at the villa again!

As a family we have hired properties all over France, but at this villa in Agde, we have had our best holiday yet. The property was superb, spotless and with all the comforts for a great holiday. It is situated close to the river for a short walk into Agde, and is a short drive from the great beaches at Grau Agde. The pool is everything you could ask for, with a gated fence for safety. I would like to comment on the large comfortable lounge our the spacious dinning room but we never used them as we spent the time there outside on the furniture provided for all our meals, prepared in the kitchen, which has all the mod cons required if you wish to cook in the villa. There is a mini-market close by plus a five minute drive to the Super U. All in all i would say this property is perfect for a great family holiday

We had previously stayed at the villa and would like to spend time there regularly, with our 3 children aged 14, 12 and 8. We bring our only granny with us and everyone enjoys the accomodation.
We enjoy the nearby beach in the morning, take time over lunch on the terrace, then use the warmed pool. As it was chilly, someone came to heat it for us and it was welcome. So nice to have privacy and a pool to oneself.
The surroundings are beautiful, we walked in the middle of the vineyards, saw jousting on the river, we hope to find another slot in which to come back. Facilities are exactly as described, very clean and functional.
Receiving the keys, administering deposit and payments is very efficiently run.

We are a family of 4 (parents plus 2 teenage children 19 and 17) and stayed in this villa recently. It was perfect for our needs - well located -short walk along the river to Agde centre where there are plenty of floating restaurants. The villa is spacious and well equipped and ideal to relax. The area itself is a quiet residential area with a large hypermarket nearby -3-5 minutes by car.
We would recommend this villa and would stay here again without any hesitation whatsoever.

The descriptions given are spot on - the villa is spacious and very well equipped and the pool is lovely. We had a few problems with the pool water on arrival but the people looking after the villa and pool in Agde were brilliant and Shirley did every thing she could to ensure it was sorted as quickly as possible - sometimes problems do crop up on holiday - but everyone so was helpful and communictaion was excellent so that we knew what was happening and were confident that things would be sorted quickly - which is what happened. The pool is really deep and the best we've ever had with a villa.
The weather was superb - really hot but the breeze meant that it was bearable. We were there for the festival - and there was something on every night - the jousting on the river was great as was the carnival and the blues night we went to. It was easy to just walk into Agde and not worry about taking a car in - but with the car we went to some lovely places - Pezenas, Sete, Montpelier - all gorgeous.
There's a small forest nearby with high wire adventures in the trees which our boys loved. The barge restaurants along the river are really special but you are spoilt for good places to eat and drink.
It was a great holiday and I'd recommend it particluarly because of the high quality service we were fortunate to receive.

We spend hours and hours looking for a holiday home and it´s great to discover that it is everything it says on the web site. The villa itself is clean and spacious (in a very nice neighbourhood) and we spend hours outside in the pool- and outdoor dining area when returning from the sea. All practical details worked perfect from deposit to key arrangements and information and Shirley answered all our questions instantaneous. The area is wonderful, beautiful ancient Agde is a 15 minute stroll along the canal and Grau d´Agde and Cap d´Agde by the Sea is 5 minutes by car (we did actually walk to Grau dÁgde as well). For those interested in nice food and wine this area is absolutely perfect with number of evry good restaurants and vineyards. By car and/or train you can easily explore the surroundings with beautiful villages and cities. We even did a day trip to Barcelona, takes about 3 hours by car one way so by starting early you get a full day. If you are interested in this particularly area of France we absolutely recommend this property

We were delighted to find this property close enough to the beach by bike ( if you bring yours) or by car, and close to shops, hypermarket and chemist! and close to the picturesque town of Agde. Plenty to see; lovely, family-friendly beach at the Grau d'Agde.
The property matches its description perfectly: comfortable, spacious for 5 or 6, very clean and great facilities with the pool, barbecue, Sky connection for the odd stormy afternoon.
The owners were very efficient and reliable at every stage of the booking procedure.
Quiet location, residential among locals.
We are extremely pleased with our holiday and feel we owe Shirley to write this review

I would recommend this property - as the other review says it matched the description on this website. The pool is a great size with good barrier to pool which gives reassurance if you have kids. The villa is very roomy. All the facilities are clean & modern. The booking process was no problem & got the keys in advance so no worries on turning up. The villa is in a residential neighbourhood with a 15 min (ish) walk along the canal to the town centre & restaurants. Agde very well situated for exploring the region - although we found it very easy to spend all day by the pool & enjoying the sun! We had a good holiday here.

Better than we could have expected!

After all those hours of looking at hundreds of villas, you can only that what it says...... is what it is!  The villa immediately felt like home & we looked forward everyday to returning to it after another hard day at the beach or restaurant.
It really ticked all the boxes, clean, modern, well equipped(mostly new & unused) & if you want to have all of your meals in the sun ,then you really can follow the sun  around the house until the final drinks at sunset.
Add to this that owner Shirley is a very nice person to deal with (efficient too, deposit back super fast) & you will understand why I am enjoying the opportunity of writing this review as a heartfelt thank you.
